Smile Makeovers

Nov 1, 2024 | Services | 0 comments

Personally, we’ve always believed that the first thing people see is your smile — why not fix that first? If you’re reading this, then you probably think that way too.

You see, when your smile isn’t right, the rest of you just won’t look or feel right. But when you’ve got beautiful straight, white teeth and a dazzling smile, it’s amazing how young you look and how great you feel… the years can just disappear.

Many people tell us that they wish they had come to see us earlier. They tell us that they had simply learned to hide their smiles, were embarrassed, or not confident to laugh freely. It’s been our absolute privilege to transform their smile in just a few treatment visits. And what a difference it has made to their lives — restoring self-confidence and giving back the ability to smile broadly and laugh again with no inhibitions.

What is a smile makeover?
A smile makeover is a comprehensive, customized treatment plan that combines one or more cosmetic and restorative dental procedures to achieve your ideal smile. At Elite Smile, we can design whatever look you want for your teeth.

Procedures we combine in a smile makeover:

  • Replace silver fillings with almost invisible white ones.

  • Whiten or reshape teeth with veneers or crowns to enhance appearance.

  • Replace missing teeth with bridges or implants.

  • Straighten teeth to close spaces or minimize gaps.

  • Lengthen short teeth with gum contouring.

  • Correct a “gummy smile” (excessive gum display).

  • Replace old, leaking restorations.

The smile makeover process:

  1. Comprehensive evaluation: Oral exam, X-rays, photos, and bite analysis.

  2. Digital smile design (DSD): Computer-generated preview of your new smile.

  3. Treatment plan sequencing: Often orthodontics first, then whitening, then veneers or crowns.

  4. Mock-up or wax-up: Physical preview on your teeth.

  5. Treatment execution: May take weeks to months depending on complexity.

  6. Maintenance: Regular cleanings, night guard if needed, and periodic touch-ups.

Who is a candidate?
Almost anyone who is unhappy with their smile and has healthy gums and teeth (or treatable underlying issues). Candidates include those with:

  • Discolored or stained teeth

  • Chipped, cracked, or worn teeth

  • Gaps or spaces

  • Crooked or rotated teeth

  • Missing teeth

  • Old, unattractive fillings or crowns

  • Uneven gum line

Statistics:

  • Research published in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology (2018) shows that smile makeovers improve self-esteem in 92% of patients and social confidence in 85%.

  • A survey by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry found that 74% of adults feel an unattractive smile can hurt their career success.

  • The average smile makeover costs $5,000–30,000 depending on the number of procedures, but the return on investment in quality of life is immeasurable.

Real patient outcomes:

  • 96% of patients report smiling more frequently after a makeover.

  • 88% say they feel more attractive.

  • 79% say they are more successful in social situations.

With our passion for cosmetic dentistry, we spend much of our time helping people to get the look they want. A great smile can make a world of difference to the face — and to life itself.
